Who teaches it?
Renee Stehman has enjoyed roller skating since a very young age, rolling around in the basement whenever possible, and frequenting the rink on weekends. When roller derby came to town, she joined the women’s league and coached the junior’s team under the alias of Robyn Toomz. After leaving roller derby, she started working at the rink as a floor guard and helping with skate lessons. She learns new moves and tricks from other skaters and by viewing demos online. She analyzes the trick, breaks it down into pieces, and practices until she masters it. Knee surgery can’t even keep her away from her passion! Currently, she spreads the love of skating to anyone willing to try. She is super excited to take on the role of Skating Instructor at CCSA!
